FAQ
FAQ:
1. Why would I do a live chat watercolor class, when Wendy gives classes in several locations?
Taking a class with others has many advantages such as support from others, and social interactions. But you must sign up for many weeks, often before meeting the teacher, and that can be a big commitment. Testing out the teacher before taking class can help you decide. Also, of course, if you work on line you can do so at your convenience: when you like and as many classes as you wish.
2. What kind of things would I learn in private on line sessions?
Wendy has taught over 3000 people to paint with watercolors, many returning students for years on end. Each lesson is tailored to the level of the student and goes as slowly or as rapidly as the student wishes. All aspects of watercolor such as color theory, drawing, and technique will be taught, often focused on a particular subject such as landscapes or flowers.
3. What preparation or materials do I need to do before I purchase a class?
No materials are needed for the first session, as buying the materials is key to excellent results. Prepare for first class by watching two minute intro to Wendy, and the 30 second videos of specific subjects such as hard and soft edges. Then, email Wendy with your introduction and questions. We will design the first session tailored to your particular needs and level.
4. How do you get materials?
You can purchase your own from materials list, about $125, or buy Wendy's kits for $60 with everything you need for ten lessons. A very small kit can also be ordered for the first session for $20, but is not needed.
5. Can Wendy come to my home and give lessons as well?
After we establish a working relationship, it may be possible to have lessons in your home.
6. How much are the lessons on line?
You can purchase a package of ten one hour lessons for $450, or buy as you go for $60 per one hour session. First ten minute session is free.
