The woods and creek I have been painting all during the past notorious Boston winter came to life yesterday. I felt the damp woodsy air. I smelled the moss and wildflowers. The birds were happily chirping and munching on goodies provided by the Pennypack watershed people. A sign said to be quiet so as not to disturb them in the little sanctuary behind the picnic benches. I hug up the ten main paintings and blessed the former artist who just happened to leave the nails in the right location. I placed the little paintings on shelves so as too look enticing to customers. I set out the sign up book and price lists. Now all that remains is the addition of my dear sister in law's fancy food and a room full of viewers. I'm ready for what may be.
